AnnaSophia – Captain Planet And The Planeteers

December 21st, 2009

“Captain Planet, he’s our hero, gonna get pollution down to zero!” There is no better time than now to do a live-action remake of this environmentally-friendly cartoon with the coolest theme song ever. Al Gore would probably give his support.

In the show, Earth is ruled by a living spirit named Gaia, who oversees the Earth’s environment. However, Gaia herself is not able to take direct action so she appoints five teenage “champions”, or planeteers, to help her out. Each planeteer is given a ring which possesses powers of the elements – water, fire, earth, wind and heart/love. When these rings are combined, it creates a superhero named Captain Planet who then helps the planeteers in saving the world.

AnnaSophia Robb, 16 – She has been in several heartwarming tween movies and has a pretty smile. Robb can take on the role of Linka, the wind ringbearer.

Harriet Greenspan on AnnaSophia Robb

October 8th, 2009

AnnaSophia Robb‘s manager Harriet Greenspan sharing on her some of her casting stories and talking about AnnaSophia Robb and her another project. (Thanks Maria for news)

On one of my trips I found an amazing 8 year-old girl named AnnaSophia Robb. After one month in LA she booked a national commercial and after a few more months she booked the lead in the movie “Because of Winn Dixie.”

My goal (and passion) is to produce features. I have 3 projects that are currently in development. The first one is “Stand By Love” a romantic comedy written by Vincent Angel and being directed by Lesli Linka Glatter. We’re also working on film versions of two books, “A Summer of Kings” with AnnaSophia Robb and Corbin Bleu and “Bloody Jack” also with AnnaSophia Robb.

AnnaSophia Robb & Alexander Ludwig Talk Race to Witch Mountain

August 5th, 2009

Headline : AnnaSophia Robb & Alexander Ludwig Talk Race to Witch Mountain
By
: Brian Gallagher @ Movie web

Walt Disney Studios relived their 1975 classic Escape to Witch Mountain with a new modern-day spin in the popular remake Race to Witch Mountain, which hits the shelves on DVD and a Blu-ray/DVD combo set on August 4.

This new remake got a revamped cast with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Carla Gugino and even the grown-up child stars of the original film, Kim Richards and Ike Eisenmann. Of course, the new film also needed new child stars which they got in the wonderful combination of AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig, who portray the alien siblings Sara and Seth.

I had the chance to speak with Robb and Ludwig over the phone recently about their new film on DVD and BD, and here’s what they had to say.

- So, first of all, I was kind of curious about how you first heard about this role and if you were both familiar with the original two films at all?

AnnaSophia Robb : I first heard about the film when I had a meeting with Andy Fickman, our fabulous director, and he pitched me the project and I read it and loved it. I’d love to work with Andy and Dwayne (”The Rock” Johnson) and then it just kind of snowballed from there. They actually sent me the original films and it was just exciting because they’re such classic films and it was nice to think that we were going to make the next chapter in the Witch Mountain series.

AnnaSophia Robb Give Acting Tips!!

August 2nd, 2009

Here an article from Juniorcelebs Race To Witch Mountain stars AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig come to share their acting tip!!

TIP ONE : PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!
Alexander says: I’ve always loved performing, but I think it’s really important to train as much as you can. Sign up for a school play, read books and learn as much as possible! My parents always show me videos of things I would do as a kid, like jumping onto tables singing – and I really do believe that practice makes perfect. I love to entertain, so I’d practice everywhere and anywhere I could.

TIP TWO: TAKE CLASSES
AnnaSophia says: When I was little, I remember pointing at the TV and saying, ‘That’s what I want to do.’ Acting was in my blood, so I took acting class and I learned how to act in front of a camera. Learning how to stand and speak on camera is really important if you want to act on screen – and it helps to calm audition nerves. If you’re serious about this industry, sign up for classes and get involved.
