Put up more 7 pictures behind the scenes of ‘Soul Surfer’ set in Hawaii (possibly on March 2010. I not sure about date) AnnaSophia seem filming the scenes together with actor Dennis Quaid who played as her father in the movie. thank to Luba & Leon again for helping with pictures!

Cheri Hamilton says she suggested AnnaSophia for the role

Bethany Hamilton’s mother, Cheri Hamilton, in an article from the BYU-Hawaii Student News Lab has said about the choice of actors for the movie Soul Surfer, “I suggested Anna Sophia. I think Dennis Quaid reminds me of Tom a lot and Helen is sort of like my personality.”
Earlier this month, Surfer Mag posted an article in which Bethany Hamilton talks of AnnaSophia’s role:
I actually saw her in a movie a while back, Bridge to Teribethia, and my mom said to me, “You know, I bet she could play you in the movie.” I just sort of laughed but she randomly wound up getting the part.

CBN talks to Soul Surfer people

The Christian Broadcasting Network has talked to Soul Surfer director Sean McNamara, actor Dennis Quaid, actress AnnaSophia Robb and surfer Bethany Hamilton, whom AnnaSophia portrays in the movie. One paragraph of CBN’s published article had quotes from AnnaSophia Robb:
“It was so much fun,” she said. “Going out with Bethany, getting surf training from professional surfers. It’s so much fun. I’m going to have to move close to the ocean now because I can’t get enough of it.”
AnnaSophia Robb’s Bridge to Terabithia co-start Josh Hutcherson once said of New Zealand, “We were living right down on the beach and after work we would just go down [there], play in the sand, do a little surfing in the ocean.” AnnaSophia replied, “Yeah, it was great,” adding, “It was cool.” Her Race to Witch Mountain co-star Alexander Ludwig also once said, “Me and my buddies we’re avid surfers”.
