A Facebook paged labeled as “OFFICIAL BETHANY HAMILTON FAN PAGE”, which is linked to from soulsurferthemovie.com, has a message regarding extras “needed” for Soul Surfer:

Soul Surfer video on The Insider

“We really got the best cast, and I was just so stoked on each and every person,” said Bethany Hamilton as she talked to Samantha Harris on a Hawaiian beach in a video from The Insider’s website. Also featured in the video are Carrie Underwood, Dennis Quaid and Helen Hunt. It is said in the video that Soul Surfer “opens next year”.

An official website for the AnnaSophia movie Soul Surfer is at soulsurferthemovie.com. There, the site allows people to subscribe to updates on the movie.

EDIT: According to Domain Tools, the domain is registered under the name “Bethany Hamilton”, and was created on March 31st, 2006.

The movie starring AnnaSophia Robb as Bethany Hamilton, Soul Surfer, is scheduled to be a feature of the February 16th episode of CBS’ “The Insider”, who claim to be “first on the set”.

The Beloved Pictures film said in December 2008 to star AnnaSophia Robb and Abigail Breslin (and later Spencer Breslin)  is no longer listed on the Internet Movie Database’s filmography list for AnnaSophia Robb. The movie was said to be directed by Garry Marshall, who acted in Race to Witch Mountain with AnnaSophia in 2008, and produced by Bob Abramoff, who produced the AnnaSophia movie Spy School in 2005.

AnnaSophia’s Soul Surfer co-star Carrie Underwood did a February 13th interview for Entertainment Tonight according to GossipCenter, and Kevin Sorbo (also a co-star) tweeted on Twitter, “have my ET interview today at pounders beach”.
