Soul Surfer said out in summer

Troy Michael, the Hawaii-based DJ who previously said he confirmed a last minute party for the cast and crew of Soul Surfer, has recently posted on Facebook about a Soul Surfer wrap party and mentions a summer release.

Mondays Soul Surfer wrap party was really fun. Got to meet Helen Hunt & Dennis Quaid both really down to earth celebs who danced all night long. The Soul Surfer Movie will be out in the summer should me a very inspirational show.

Soul Surfer said wrapped by Affirm Films

On their Facebook page, Affirm Films had said that Soul Surfer has wrapped, and that the cast and crew had a party, adding that they’re anxious to share more:

Tuesday is… The Lot: Soul Surfer wrapped production yesterday! The cast and crew enjoyed a great wrap party last night, and final pick-up shots are happening today and tomorrow. Next up- the team moves to the Sony lot and starts editing/post-production. We’re all so excited and anxious to share more. Coming soon!

Soul Surfer production said wrapped

In an article from the Honolulu Examiner, it was said that “The Soul Surfer production returned for another 10 days filming on Oahu, and it is expected to wrap today”, and it said in an image caption, “Soul Surfer production wraps in Hawaii.”

The article ends with the note, “The film is expected to be released sometime in 2011.” Recently, actor Kevin Sorbo, who plays Holt Blanchard in Soul Surfer, tweeted “‘soul surfer’….coming this fall to a theater near you”.

AnnaSophia nominated actress in KidsPickFlicks.com Awards

With her role in Race to Witch Mountain, AnnaSophia Robb is nominated for 2009 Best Kid Actress of the Year in the 4th Annual KidsPickFlicks.com Awards. Voting began March 12th, and is scheduled to conclude March 21st, with winners scheduled to be announced March 22nd. AnnaSophia’s Bridge to Terabithia co-star Josh Hutcherson is also a nominee, being nominated for 2009 Best Kid Actor of the Year.

Colorado school planning sponsoring DFN

The Dalit Freedom Network, an organization AnnaSophia Robb has travelled to India with, is said to be a target for fundraising by a Colorado high school following a mention from AnnaSophia Robb in a meeting. The sophomore class president spoke of it saying, “The targets for our fundraising efforts, as voted upon by officers and the general council, include the Dalit Freedom Network and St. Jude’s Hospital,” and, “[AnnaSophia Robb] brought up the Dalit Freedom Network at our meeting. It’s been really up to the sophomore class to lead this Dalit Freedom Network project, so we’re definitely looking forward to it.”
